Deputy Head of the Workforce Skills Center at waff
waff as a Supportive Motivator for Climate-Relevant Education and Training
Decarbonization and the transition to a circular economy are projected to create a demand for skilled workers in climate-relevant professions, introducing new requirements for employees. Vienna's Workforce Skills Center is strategically addressing this need and accompanying transformation processes.
waff supports employed Viennese residents by providing information, counseling, and financial assistance for education and training. At the same time, it facilitates entry into climate-relevant professions in collaboration with companies and the Public Employment Service (AMS), while also supporting businesses that train apprentices in climate-relevant trades.
This panel discussion addresses which professions are necessary to respond to the challenges of climate change. It’s about how targeted training and further education as well as new professional profiles can help create sustainable solutions.
